QuickBooks Integration

Your QuickBooks, turned into a WIP schedule you can act on.

TruBalance connects securely to your QuickBooks Online company to build your work-in-progress schedule and financial reports — and to post the month-end WIP journal entry once you've reviewed it. Built for construction, not bolted on.

What it does

Once you authorize the connection through Intuit's secure sign-in, the integration:

  • Reads your financials — pulls your Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, and job-level cost and income detail directly from QuickBooks.
  • Builds your WIP schedule — turns that data into an over/under billings schedule by job, with earned revenue, percent complete, and margin.
  • Posts the WIP journal entry — the one thing it writes back. After you review it, it posts a per-job, auto-reversing work-in-progress entry to QuickBooks.

What it will not do

The integration is read-only everywhere except the WIP journal entry, and even that posts only after explicit review and confirmation. It does not modify your invoices, bills, customers, or chart of accounts, and it never touches data outside your accounting records.

How your data is handled

Your connection is authorized through Intuit and can be revoked at any time. Data moves over encrypted connections and is used solely to deliver your TruBalance services. See our Privacy Policy and Terms of Use, and our Disconnect page for how to end the connection.

Want this running on your books?

The integration is part of how I work with construction clients. Start with a financial review and we'll talk through whether it fits.
