Terms of Use

The terms that govern use of the TruBalance Accounting QuickBooks Online integration.

Effective date: July 6, 2026

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern access to and use of the software integration ("the Integration") provided by TruBalance Accounting, LLC ("TruBalance," "we," "us") that connects to Intuit QuickBooks Online to deliver our accounting and fractional CFO services. By authorizing or using the Integration, you agree to these Terms.

License and permitted use

TruBalance grants authorized clients a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to use the Integration solely in connection with the accounting services TruBalance provides to them. You may not copy, resell, reverse engineer, or use the Integration outside that purpose.

Authorization and data access

The Integration accesses your QuickBooks Online data only after you authorize the connection through Intuit's secure sign-in, and only to the extent needed to provide services. Access is predominantly read-only; the only data written back is client-reviewed journal entries. How we handle data is described in our Privacy Policy.

Your responsibilities

You are responsible for maintaining the accuracy of your QuickBooks records and for reviewing any journal entries before they are finalized in your books. You agree to use the Integration in compliance with applicable law and Intuit's terms.

No warranty

The Integration is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. TruBalance does not warrant that the Integration will be uninterrupted or error-free. Financial outputs are tools to support professional judgment and do not replace review of your official books of record.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, TruBalance will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the Integration. This section does not limit any professional obligations owed under a separate engagement agreement between you and TruBalance.

Intuit relationship

TruBalance is an independent firm and is not endorsed by or affiliated with Intuit Inc. Your use of QuickBooks Online remains subject to Intuit's own terms and policies.

Termination

You may disconnect the Integration at any time (see our Disconnect page). We may suspend or terminate access to the Integration at our discretion, including at the end of an engagement.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Tennessee, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
